Defensive Pistol Class

This course is not designed to turn a student into John Wick or be combat ready for the mountains of Afghanistan.  This course is designed to give the student the basic understanding of defensive shooting techniques in real life scenarios and to be prepared to defend yourself and loved ones from potential threats inside and outside the home.

Upon completion of the PFTI Basic Pistol Course, the student will be eligible to enroll into this course.

​

This course is 8 hours long and will cover:

• A review of general firearm & range safety protocols

• A review of pistol marksmanship fundamentals

• Drawing the pistol and proper pistol presentation

• One handed shooting, both dominate & non-dominate hands

• Variable shooting positions

• Shooting from cover

• Shooting during movement

• Live Fire Exercises

Cost is $90.00 per student

​

Each Student will need to bring their own pistol, 3 reliable magazines, 100 rounds of ammunition, Ear & Eye protection, pistol holster (Hip or leg holster preferred, and cross draw will be allowed for this class.  NO SHOULDER HOLSTERS IN WHICH THE MUZZLE IS POINTING STRAIGHT BACK BEHIND THE SHOOTER.) A writing implement & notebook, drinking water.

Lunch is one hour and there are a couple of places within 10 minutes drive of the range, but you are welcome to bring your own.

​

Dress in layers appropriate for outdoor activities.  (NO SHORTS)
